Usually pregnancy is determined by testing for hCG through a urine sample, as hCG is produced to keep the corpus luteum alive for pregnancy, the corpus luteum then produces progesterone which is used to maintain and create a healthy environment for the fetal growth to occur.

pregnancy can also be determine by Cervcal examination, in regard to the cervix how may you determine pregnancy?

by testing the consistancy of the cervix.

usually in non-pregnant woman the cervix is described as feeling like your nose.

however in pregnant woman it becomes much softer and has been known to feel like your lips

so the consistency of the cervix can be used to deduce if someone is pregnant or not

what can the shape of the external orifice of the cervical canal tell you?

if it is circular and smaller then a woman has never given birth before however if it is slit like and large then they have given birth before
