right coronary artery

the pathway starts at the right aortic sinus then descends to the right hand side of the heart running through the atrio-ventricular groove

i asked Fraser….

so basically this is actually of importance because of the fact that it is actually a negative feature due to the fact that it is not able to supply blood to the heart in the event that there is a blockage.

venous heart drainage includes the cardiac veins which main focus is to carry deoxygenated blood from the myocardium and empty them into the chambers of the heart.

there are 4 cardiac veins

small cardiac

great cardiac

middle cardiac

anterior cardiac

the small cardiac vein follows the right marginal branch and drains into the coronary sinus

the middle cardiac vein (posterior inter-ventricular) drains into the coronary sinus

the great cardiac vein (anterior inter-ventricular) drains into the coronary sinus
