• (+)ssRNA viruses don’t need to be transcribed: can undergo direct translation in the host cell cytoplasm

also there are 4 main types of virus structure which directly relates to their life cycle

Positive sense (+) RNA viruses: contain RNA in 5’-3’ orientation which can be directly used as mRNA for translation into proteins

DNA viruses: require transcription to mRNA
